Graduate gets his gift from his parents

Mr. and Mrs. Richardson approached me about doing a painting of their son Robert Jr. earlier this year as a graduation present. I had coached Robert in the fall and summer leagues and worked with him on his pitching so I was honored to create this piece. Robert was always a great kid to work with and has the right attitude on the field.

I started out by getting some pics from Robert Sr. and some photos of Brewer high school's logo. Using my usual techniques I made the logo in the background more vintage which makes the figure really pop out. As you can see, Robert also has great pitching mechanics. haha
